The Chief Darcy Bear Community Garden has been in operation for 10 years and remains a treasured part of our community. All of the 54 plots are consistently filled, and there is currently a waiting list of nearly 50 names. The community garden is a vibrant and thriving space that continues to grow and flourish each day.
A Blooming Paradise
Our garden plots are teeming with life, featuring a variety of flowers and perennials that bring colour and joy to the area. Many gardeners have added their unique touches, including raised beds and an elegant arbor/trellis, enhancing both the functionality and aesthetics of the garden.
Attracting Monarch Butterflies
Last year, our milkweed garden became a haven for monarch butterflies. Inspired by its success, we have doubled the size of this special garden, with hopes of attracting even more of these magnificent creatures. The sight of monarch butterflies fluttering around is a testament to the thriving ecosystem we are cultivating.
We look forward to seeing you in the garden!
