Housing Accelerator Fund Amendments for Consideration at Public Hearing on June 27

To continue progress on the initiatives outlined in the City’s Housing Accelerator Fund Action Plan, a second package of amendments will be brought forward for consideration at the Public Hearing Meeting of City Council on June 27. Council will consider:

  • Permitting 4 dwelling units per site in all residential zoning districts
  • Permitting 4-storey residential development within 800 metres of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) stations
  • Streamlining zoning regulations for Residential Care Homes

Parking Amendments

Amendments proposing the removal of city-wide parking requirements from the Zoning Bylaw will be presented to the Municipal Planning Commission on June 25, 2024, and the Public Hearing Meeting of City Council at the end of July.
