Membership & Fees:
A yearly membership of $10 per family is required to participate in programs. NCA honours other community Association memberships.
Credit Card: You can pay with your credit card on our registration website. It is a secure site.
Cheque: There will be no additional charge for using a cheque. Cheques can either be dropped off at registration night, or they can be mailed to, or dropped-off at the address listed on the payment page when you register. The address will also be included in your confirmation email.
If your program has a waitlist we will not be able to hold your spot indefinitely while we await your cheque.
Cash: Will only be accepted at the in-person registration night. Please do not mail cash.
Cost as Barrier:
In an effort to ensure that all Nutana residents who want to participate in a program are able to, NCA offers cost-as-a-barrier assistance to those facing financial hardship.

We have two new programs this session:
1) SHiNE™ is a dance fitness class rooted in traditional dance such as JAZZ, Hip HOP, and BALLET. We take those foundational moves and create dance routines that are easy enough for beginners yet challenging enough for the more seasoned dancer. The simplicity of the routines allows you keep moving all ages and abilities. The simplicity of the routines allows you keep moving and do less thinking. Because we like to keep you moving the average calories burned during a full class is approximately 750! Not bad for a workout that feels more like a dance party
2) Wing Tsun Kung Fu is an orthodox Shaolin Kung Fu and based on techniques originally developed at the famous Shaolin Temple. It is an unarmed self defense system.
Tai Chi is the most famous traditional Chinese Martial Art. Now, it is the best enlightenment for health! Our Tai Chi program is including 3 parts:
1. Anapanasati Meditation It refers to inhalation and exhalation. It is focus mindfulness of breathing and good for the overall physical and mental health.
2. Meridian YOGA – YI JIN JING
It has the guide from the meridian theory. Meridians are near the
ligaments. It is a stretching exercise to make the meridian clear.
3. WOO STYLE TAICHI
Tai Chi has over hundred years history and is an energy movement in
right body pose and right psychological state. It can make energy flow
better and improve the energy level of the body.
Recreational badminton, doubles format – instruction is not provided, however many players are willing to provide guidance and tips for improvement. Players are expected to set up and take down nets each night, and best to bring your own equipment, although there are some racquets available for those who don’t own one, and shuttles are provided.

Recreational volleyball – instruction is not provided, however many players are willing to provide guidance and tips for improvement. Players are expected to set up and take down nets each night.
Yogafit is a “flow” style of yoga aimed at people who want to improve their fitness levels. Participants move through sequences of poses that include lunges, squats and planks to build greater strength, increase flexibility and improve balance. The class ends with deep stretching poses that allow the body to relax.

Learn (or revisit!) the basic postures, sequences, and relaxation techniques in this user-friendly class. You may bring your own mat or borrow one of ours.

Postnatal Yoga with Baby (0-14 mos)
Great for any mom, dad, or caregiver wanting to learn yoga postures to gain muscle tone and strength and to ease strain from caring for your baby and carrying all the gear that comes with them. This class allows you to come to yoga and spend time with baby in a fun, relaxed, and supportive environment.

Yoga for Runners and Others
Focuses on developing core strength through a series of poses that build in intensity. Sequences will build flexibility through hips and legs and will develop upper body strength. Please bring your own mat.
Instructor: Leah Brannen
Burn up to 600 calories in one fun and powerfully effective 60-minute total body workout. Combines dance-based cardio with strength training, stretching to sculpt, tone and lengthen muscles for maximum fat burn. Jazzercise is a fusion of jazz dance, resistance training, yoga, and kickboxing. Please bring own mat, and light hand weights if you wish.

Weekly workshops where participants learn theory and skills of various circus arts: juggling, diabolo, poi, spinning plates and flower sticks. NCA membership fee is all that is required for this drop in class. Instructor-led soccer skills development classes. Scrimmages typically held at end of each session, once basic skills are established. Two classes to be offered, ages 3-4 and ages 5-7.
